Dr. Ruchi Badola, Scientist G & Principal Investigator – Wildlife Institute of India in presence of other distinguished guests, Board of Directors of the Company and associates formally inaugurated the project developed by Saahas Foundation Inclusive Resource Centre. She expressed her endorsement of the project stating that the Team Saahas has been committed to provide and maintain high quality product standards and professional services. She mentioned that the consistency in the ability to compete with the market is a warranty of success of the project. Dr. Badola appreciated the philosophy of inclusive development and how it relates to the nature of projects she supervises through her institution and otherwise. Dr. Badola along with other distinguished guests witnessed live demonstration of products developed by the members of the company, wished the team for their successful deployment of the project and stressed on strong foundation of the team through effective and consistent capacity building exercises. Dr. Badola shared that she promotes the products developed by Team Saahas distributing them among the academia and community she works with in and outside the country.
Mr. Vippan Chhibbar, Director – Saahas Foundation Inclusive Resource Centre expressed the need of the program for the balanced growth and development of the adults with special needs. He also shared his views over the evolution and the philosophy of the project.
Mr. Shahab Naqvi, Director – Saahas Foundation Inclusive Resource Centre shared his views over social inclusion being the base argument of the livelihood centric vocational project for the persons with special needs. He assured that the company is engaged in activities pertaining to building skill sets, vocational training as well as creating awareness of the need in society to accommodate and further the interests of the differently-abled citizens and impact public policy on this subject. He emphasized over the blend of the project with the market forces which is the core of the project model, strengthening the whole idea of work-based inclusion as incidental to the core spirit of creating and facilitating sustainable inclusive livelihood and developmental opportunities, workspaces. He also expressed his views on the holistic development of the persons with special needs and that largely would be linked to the collaborative efforts by the academia, industry, corporates, community integrated with world class technology.
In turn other distinguished guests offered to extend the support that they would be able to provide for the sustainable development of the project.
Everyone present was filled with amazement to see the candidates enrolled in the program reciting the poem ‘Where the mind is without fear’ composed by Rabindra Nath Tagore and the Bollywood rapid fire questionnaire open session by the guests present, that had set the festive mood for the day!
